SOCIAL DETOX POSITIONS
You will work as part of a small team working with clients withdrawing from alcohol and drugs in our 10 bed residential facility. These positions offer you access to the expertise of an experienced multi-disciplinary team and a supportive, professional environment in which to extend your interest, knowledge & experience in the A&D field.

• Assume full responsibility for running of the Detox Centre during his/her shift.

Alcohol & Other Drug Support Worker

7am - 3.30pm

11pm - 7am

The night shift is a solo shift. There is a telephone support provided by senior staff member at night.

The shifts rotate on a weekley basis.

• Provides support (administrative and clinical) to the duty AOD Professional .
• Ensure that the service's environment meets the required infection control, hazards management and maintenance standards.
• Ensure that the service is well stocked with the required groceries (food and non-food)

Support care work qualifications and / or ezperience required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills
• Would suit someone interested in developing their career in the AOD field.

SOCIAL WORK POSITIONS
You will work as part of a small multidisciplinary team providing services for our clients both in the community and for clients who come to the Mission for services. These positions offer you the opportunity to work with an extremely varied client base; a combination of onsite and community work; access to the expertise of an experienced multi-disciplinary team; a supportive, professional environment in which to extend your social services knowledge & experience.

General Social Worker

Full-time (40 hours/week)  

 

The Social Worker will interview clients who come to the Mission requesting food and/or other support as well as visiting clients in the community.  The role includes coordinating Mission services for clients using any of our services, such as Social Detoxification, and/or services for the homeless/rough sleepers and advocating for Mission clients with other social welfare work.

Previous social work experience including experience delivering community-based care is required.  A full driver’s license is essential.

Practice Nurse

Part time (24 hours/week, 8 hours/day

This part-time position is available for an experienced Practice Nurse. You will take an active role in the set up and delivery of nursing services at our brand new GP practice.  In collaboration with General Practitioners, social work and management teams, you will ensure the provision of excellent medical services to the clients of the Mission.

Practice Nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience and currently registered. The position requires:
•  An intimate understanding of how a GP Practice operates
Ability to fully support our doctors
•  Ability to work independently by running variety of health screening programmes and providing quality nursing services to our clients 
Must be a competent computer user
MedTech 32 experience is an advantage
