FOOD DONATIONS

The Mission receives about 250 requests for emergency food every month, so we are always in need of non-perishable food items. Our food parcels contain basic items like peanut butter, canned fish, spaghetti, milk powder, etc. If these items are not donated we must purchase them, which takes valuable resources away from other areas.

If you are interested in donating food to the Mission, you can drop it into 140 Hobson Street, Central Auckland. To arrange for the collection of large amounts, please phone our Foodbank on 09 377 4322.

Auckland City Mission Food Parcels
The contents of our food parcels were designed by a nutritionist and are aimed at providing products suitable for making simple, nutritionally balanced meals. Our food parcels contain enough food to last a family or individual for around four days, which is the average length of time it takes someone to get through a crisis. The Mission distributes about 300 food parcels each month - around Christmas this doubles.
