Auckland City Mission is a passionate, dynamic, social service organisation. We strive to foster innovation while being flexible and sustainable. The Mission has a proud history of serving people who have been marginalised through poverty, ill health, addiction and/or trauma.

Auckland City Mission has proved to be a powerful advocate in the past, including: the elderly, beneficiaries, children and people living with HIV and AIDS. The Mission believes that advocacy should be based on research, practical experience of clients and knowledge from staff and other agencies in order to be effective.

Historically, changes in government, social policy and economic environment have created the need for social service organisations in New Zealand. The strategic plan of the Auckland City Mission assumes the need for the organisation to exist in perpetuity and acknowledges the importance of using resources efficiently in order to secure the organisations future.
