What we do : New Beginnings Shops

New Beginnings Second-hand shopsAuckland City Mission New Beginnings staff and volunteers loading donations, furniture, clothing, and houshold items

The Auckland City Mission receives a large quantity of donated goods, from food and clothing to beds and household items. Every year, the Mission re-distributes these items to thousands of Aucklanders who need help. Donations that are excess to requirements may be sold through the New Beginnings second-hand shops, providing good quality, low-cost, second-hand clothing and goods to other families and individuals. All profits from these shops are returned directly to help fund the Mission's social services.

Donate goods:

The Mission always has a need for good quality goods. If you're interested in donating, you can drop small items off to 140 Hobson Street and the collection of larger items can be arranged by calling the Distribution Centre on 09 377 4322.

Please note, all items must be clean and in good condition. The Mission incurs a significant cost each year to dispose of unusable (i.e. ripped, smelly, stained and broken) items, and cannot afford to wash or dry clean clothes and blankets.
