Christmas Appeal volunteers needed

The response for Christmas Dinner has been amazing and as a result we've filled all volunteer positions, however we do have other volunteer opportunities for which we could really use your help:

Street Appeal
The Mission’s Street Appeal will be held on Friday, December 12th. Collectors will be out 7:30am to 9:30am and 12:00pm to 2:00pm in Central Auckland and Newmarket, and 12:00pm to 2:00pm in Takapuna.

Heart of the City
We also need volunteers to help with the Mission’s collection during Heart of the City on Saturday, December 13th and Sunday, December 14th.

Collection point
The Mission will have a stand to collect donations at Britomart from Monday, December 15th to Wednesday, December 24th. Volunteers are needed to work at the stand throughout the day.

Volunteering throughout the year

Group volunteering

Throughout the year we are able to accommodate small groups of about 10 people to help in a range of tasks. This must be during normal working hours not weekends or evenings and is subject to availability. Volunteers are needed to help distribute clothes to schools, sort out large donations of goods and food, help clean and, at Christmas, wrap and sort Christmas presents.
