Sophie, our Individual Giving Specialist, has been part of the Mission’s fundraising team since 2021. Every day she sees how our services are transforming lives.

“The Mission’s work is so much more holistic than most people realise. What we do goes far beyond providing a meal or a place to sleep for a night. We help people to really recover. But it takes a lot of time and care to achieve that.”

Inspired by the work she raises money for, Sophie decided to make her own personal contribution—by leaving a gift to the Mission in her Will.

“If I’m asking others to support our work, I believe I should put my money where my mouth is!”

“I’m not cash-rich right now, but I own a home. Including a gift in my Will is a meaningful way I can support people who need it the most.”

“The Footprint platform was very, very easy to work through. The hardest bit was deciding how to allocate my money.”

“But a bequest doesn’t have to be a large value – I chose to leave a small percentage of my estate to the Mission.”

“There is a history in my family of people passing away without Wills and I’ve seen the heartache it can cause. Now that I have property of my own, I want to make sure my family and loved ones are protected – and that I am supporting the charities I care about.”
