Food donations and drives
One in five Auckland families are currently struggling to put food on the table.
We provide around 900 emergency food parcels to hungry families every week and supply food to 50 food banks in the Auckland region.
In 2020, we distributed more than 45,000 emergency food parcels and provided food to 50 local food banks and community organisations.
Eliminating hunger is a genuine goal for us. We rely on good people like you to help provide food parcels for people who can’t afford to put wholesome, nourishing food on their table. There’s information on this page about the type of food donations we can accept, and links to resources for organising food drives.
We cannot take one-off donations of cooked or perishable foods but we’d love to hear from you if you could help by donating:

Once the goods come in, we’re always looking for people to help sort and pack. It’s good fun and quite social.
If you’d like to volunteer, check out what’s involved.
Please note, we are not open to the public during Covid-19 lockdown levels 3 and 4.
We are part of the Foodlink collective and distribute food and general supplies throughout the year to community foodbanks so that people can get food in their local area.
Foodlink relies entirely on donations, so all donations are gratefully received.
Feed it Forward for Aucklanders in need by organising a food drive in your workplace, school or community group.
We really appreciate donations of non-perishable food (including canned vegetables, pasta, breakfast cereals) and toiletries (such as toothbrushes, shampoo and feminine hygiene products). Here is a full list of items we need for our food parcels.
You can organise a food drive at any time of year.
We have a range of free resources to help make your collection a success!
Be Someone’s Angel this Christmas. Help the Mission bring the magic of Christmas to families in need by organising an Auckland’s Angels food and gift collection in your workplace or community.
