Auckland City Mission

The Auckland City Mission was established by the Anglican Church and provides powerful advocacy and excellent services to marginalised people in Auckland. This includes children living in poverty, isolated elderly, people living with addictions and people who are homeless. The Mission provides support and services to ensure people’s basic needs are met and works with individuals to improve their options for the future. More>>

 WHAT'S NEW

Orange Day

Each winter, Auckland City Mission gets together with local schools and churches for the Orange Day Appeal. Participating schools and churches collect food and monetary donations for Aucklanders in need. In addition to the collection, many schools also run activities, such as mufti days, inter-class competitions and other orange-themed events.

The Appeal is designed to raise awareness around issues of poverty in our region and support the Mission’s Annual Winter Appeal. Orange is the theme of the Appeal because it represents good health, vitality and hope – the things we aim to give our clients all year round, but particularly during winter.

The appeal runs from June 22nd to July 3rd for schools and on Sunday, July 4th for churches. For more information or to register your interest, email Adrian or call 303 9209.
